eine überraschend einfache Theorie vorgestellt und erklärt, mit der wir dieses Problem erkennen und lösen können. Ein gutes und philosophisches Werk, das einem dabei hilft, seine eigene
Perspektive zu ändern. Definitiv lesens- bzw. hörenswert.

Nassim Nicholas Taleb, one of the most influential thinkers of the 21st century, introduces his central work, "Antifragile."
He already discussed the increasing unpredictability of our environment in his worldwide bestseller "The Black Swan." According to his own statement, "Antifragile" is now his most important book. With it, "the leading thinker of our time" (Times) delivers a powerful instruction manual regarding the way we can adapt ourselves, the economy and companies as well as the structures surrounding us, so that we can not only survive this chaos and these unpredictable events but also profit from them. His thesis: Anything that is not antifragile will disappear.
At the same time, Taleb, the enlightener and fear of all "insurers" and analysts, discards crucial theses about risk management and prognostics. There, the approach to repel coincidences and uncertainties at all cost is being depicted as a fallacy. These events should rather be used to test the existing systems, to reveal weak points and thus convert them into strengths.
Taleb's concept of antifragility can be an answer to the challenges of uncertain times, especially for people that deal with complex systems every day. His examples cover a broad spectrum of topics like finance and economics, politics, science and private life, to make his theses understandable and to show the power of the approach of antifragility.

This book is quite a meaningful reading, especially for people that deal with financial markets. For Taleb, the financial market is a direct product of the modern age, of the illusion that we can control complex systems such as the global economy centrally and according to an academic theory. This book introduces and explains a surprisingly easy theory, with which we can identify and solve this problem. A good and philosophical work that helps you to change your own perspective. Definitely worth reading or listening to.
